By: Bernie Clayton, Chartermaster The FiB’ers second 2024 charter trip aboard the Cortez was a 1.5 Day trip that departed Seaforth Landing at 5:00pm Tuesday, October 22nd. There were 13 of us, plus crewmembers. The weather around the dock was pleasant, and not windy and it was a clear night. By: Rob Whittaker – Charter Master One Prior to the trip the FIB’ers were contacted by text and email to bring a 30lb setup with 30lb fluorocarbon and 50-60lb setup with #2 circle hooks for bait.  Captain Jim Hughes, of The Cortez out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego was preparing to leave at 5:00PM in the afternoon on October 2nd.
